The Bible says whatever you do for those in need is actually like doing something for Him (check out Matthew 25:40). When you think of it that way, bandaging a scraped arm or hugging a crying child suddenly seems much more significant!
Do you remember what Jesus said when a disciple asked Him who was the greatest in the kingdom of Heaven? Jesus called a child over and said, "I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of Heaven. Therefore, whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of Heaven. And whoever welcomes a little child like this in my name welcomes me. But if anyone causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him to have a large millstone hung around his neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea" (Matthew 18:3-6). Wow! That's heavy duty stuff. God really cares about what happens to children and wants you to help them know Him. It's up to you, His servant, to help lead them in the right direction and keep them far from sin.
