City Bus
Line up dining room or kitchen chairs in two rows with an aisle down the center. Let the child pretend to be the bus driver while you are the passenger, and vice versa.
Dress Up
Kids love to pretend. Bring outgrown clothes or old costumes from home for the children to dress up in. Thrift shops are great places to find fake furs, feather wraps and scarves for dress up, and the prices are next to nothing!
Make A Rock Box
A rock box is like a sandbox without the mess. Fill the bottom of a shoe box with fish tank gravel or small, smooth stones. Have small cups and beach tools on hand for filling and dumping. When the children are finished playing, replace the box top and store the box on a high shelf until it is time for you to go home..
