Have a first-aid kit on hand in your backpack, ready for any emergency. Here's what you will want to put in your kit:
* Fun, colorful bandages in different shapes and sizes
* Disposable gloves (at least two pairs)
* Tweezers (for removing splinters)
* Hand wipes and/or Hand cleaner
* Gauge pads
* Roll of gauge bandage
* Blunt scissors
* Pen and paper
* Cold pack
* Zip-style storage bag
* Bottle of Ipecac (see page 46 on "Poison")
